We have a facebook and instagram called sdsmt sustainability that posts about interesting facts about the environment, peoples impact and what they can do to change it as well as posts for events happening on or around campus that relate to the environment and sustainability
Signage
A brief description of the signage that highlights sustainability features on campus:
There is signage on/around recycling containers. There is LEED signage hung in the buildings where appropriate. Additionally, there is some sustainability posters scattered throughout the Civil/Mechanical Building. Above the water fountain on the second floor of the Civil/Mechanical bulding, there is a poster telling people to bring their own bottles to save on resources and keep the cups from the landfill, On third floor of Civil/Mechanical there is signage above the paper recycling bin giving a detailed description of what is accepted and is not accepted into the paper recycling system, on the third floor of the Civil/Mechanical building there is a poster near the trash informing about proper waste management and helpful tips, in the girls bathroom on the second floor of the Civil/mechanical building there is a poster underneath the paper towel machine encouraging people to dispense their paper towel to the line to use less paper towels and informing them of the paper towel waste in the US.

South Dakota Mines Environmental Change and Sustainability Club has an instagram that also informs about sustainablility events happening on campus or around as well as information to help people live more eco-friendly lives.
