Sonoma State University is in design of its first full building renovation that will be formally certified and registered LEED. It will be required to meet LEED Gold. The California State University System has required that ALL new construction and renovations go through the LEED evaluation process and are documented and verified to be, at minimum, LEED Silver equivalent for the code year used for each project. This practice has been in place for, at least the last 20 years.
