Sonoma State University is migrating into a California State University system-wide repository that makes all scholarly works publically available and provides a robust selection of search options that include keyword, topic, etc. that allows for easy searching for sustainability regardless of discipline. Open access policies related to research are sponsor specific. SSU uses ScholarWorks which can be found here: https://library.sonoma.edu/research/scholarworks
They do not dictate the individual's work be "required", to be added, but in general, researchers are anxious to publish and make available there work.
