A brief description of the institution’s programs that help increase the diversity of higher education faculty:
SSU has long engaged in support of McNair Scholars, typically we sponsor 21 young scholars of diverse backgrounds as they engage in original research projects which prepare many for graduate studies. Many of our graduates have gone on to serve as faculty at institutions of higher education.
Sonoma State University subject to the affirmative action requirements. This AAP has been designed to bring women and men, members of minority groups, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities into all levels and segments of Sonoma State University's workforce in proportion to their representation in the
qualified relevant labor market.
