The Office of Student Activities has a staff who serves as the Student Programs and Diversity Education Coordinator. The staff coordinates and organizes events and activities that provide students a glimpse of the diversity in their local and international community. Diversity Outdoor Film Series, Multicultural Diversity Day, Race Relations Roundtable, Salsa Caliente (celebration of Hispanic culture), Celebration of Chinese New Year, Diwali Celebration, and Celebración del Dia de los Muertos are some examples of the diversity-related activities organized for students.

All of our students have to study abroad and due to the nature of our curriculum, every student gets cultural competence training and activities. One of the key initiatives of Student Activities is Diversity and they have on-going programs that support education on diversity all through out the year. Certain area's staff receive extensive cultural competency training and then train students. Other staff and faculty use professional development funds to attend training.
