An inventory of the 2019-20 course catalog was conducted to determine and classify which courses were sustainability-focused or sustainability-inclusive, based on the definitions provided by AASHE. Courses considered were at the undergraduate level, as Smith's Graduate program is smaller than the upper size limit listed in STARS, and of the following schedule (or course) types: colloquium, First Year Seminar, lab, lecture, studio, seminar, and symposium. Courses taught in both semesters and/or offering multiple sections were counted each time they were offered. Labs were counted as separate courses from the lectures to which they were adjacent; this is consistent with the listing of courses in the catalog. Courses listed as "Expected to be offered in the next 3 years" and those only offered on a Smith study abroad program were not counted.
