A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
The Green Bike Initiative is a free loaner bike program for the campus community to use. The initiative's mission is to promote a healthy lifestyle through cycling while minimizing petroleum based transportation and parking problems within the Slippery Rock Community. Random drawings of interested students are used to determine which students get to use a bike as their own for the entire semester in hopes of increasing bike use and decreasing automobile use.
