A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:

A sustainability flyer that describes SRU's commitment to sustainability and the President's Climate Commitment, explains why sustainability should be important to all employees, and provides links to sustainability-focused groups, clubs, websites, Facebook pages and Twitter feeds is included in new employee orientation materials.

New employees will also receive informal education about sustainability through the Green Leaves Sustainable Department Self-Certification program as it is rolled out, in which the department's Green Team Leader orients new employees to the department's sustainability practices (this program was initiated in 2017, with the Parks & Conservation Department becoming certified that year and the Library Management department achieving certification in 2018).
