A brief description of the sustainable food and beverage purchasing program:

Dining Services (through AVI Fresh) has an ongoing initiative to purchase items locally. Some of the current farms and local businesses from whom AVI purchases include Forbes Bison Farm, Lengel Brothers Farm, Always Summer Herbs, Paragon's Local Farms, Thoma Meat Market, and Soregel's Orchards.

Starbuck's uses 100% Schneider's Dairy products for all dairy used at this location.

Quaker Steak & Lube uses 100% Sirna and Son's produce.

T&B Naturally, our sustainable coffee shop located in Bailey Library, uses all natural/organic products.

All local purchasing from AVI vendors are reported to AVI on a monthly basis through spreadsheets noting the location of each purchase.
