Yes

A brief description of the policies and procedures that ensure community stakeholder engagement is applied systematically and regularly across the institution’s activities:

The President's Commission on Sustainability was formed in 2010 as one of six presidential commissions created to provide recommendations to the president of the university. The commission includes representatives of all community stakeholders, including the University's Office of the President, Faculty, Macoskey Center for Sustainable Systems Education and Research, Facilities & Planning, Communications, Student Services, the Sustainable Enterprise Accelerator, and Students. Outside stakeholders represented on the Commission include an Alumni representative and two Slippery Rock Community representatives (one from local government and one a local business represenative).

A brief description of how the institution identifies and engages community stakeholders, including any vulnerable or underrepresented groups:

The University has practiced public engagement for many years and the Office of Sustainability regularly updates the community stakeholders represented on the commission (for example, an additional student representative, an additional alumni representative, and an additional community member were recommended to be added to the Commission on Sustainability in December 2013). The President's Commission on Sustainabilty also meets regularly with the other presidential commissions, including four Diversity and Inclusion commissions that represent vulnerable and underrepresented groups, who may also recommend additional stakeholders as appropriate.
