Does the institution limit free printing for students in all computer labs and libraries?:

A brief description of how printing is limited:

Students are allowed to print 300 free, black and white printed pages for general printing and 200 pages of black and white printing for assignments each semester. One printed color page equals three black and white pages. Those exceeding their limit are charged $0.05 per black and white page and $0.15 per color page.

Implemented FY11 the university saw a drop in paper purchasing equal to 1,010 cases, which is 5.05 million less sheets of paper printed, copied, stored, trashed, recycled, etc.

Estimated cost savings are as follows:

1,010 cases of paper @$28.50 per case = $28,785 in savings
Toner @ 2.5 cents per page x 5,050,000 sheets = $126,250 in savings*
*Prints made on ink jet printers cost much more!
