For the S.T.A.R.S. inventory, sustainability-focused and sustainability-related courses were identified by thoroughly reading every course description of the courses offered for Summer 2010 to Spring 2011. Department chairs and/or faculty members were contacted to confirm whether a course is considered sustainability-focused or sustainability-related. Courses were counted for each time they are offered during a one year period, Summer 2010 to Spring 2011.
