Generation creates research documents termed “industry roadmaps” which typically have a sector or sub-sector focus but can also focus on a region or sustainability theme. Roadmaps are developed from internal research and shared by the investment teams across the Firm. Analysts conduct research by speaking with those in the relevant industry, supplementing their primary research with input from the experts that participate in Generation’s summits. In addition, Generation has relationships with organizations that serve as a source of information on broader sustainability issues. These organizations include the Carbon Disclosure Project, the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, CERES, the International Corporate Governance Network, United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI), the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the World Resources Institute, and the UN Global Compact. The roadmaps are the key identifying attractive investment opportunities fits with Generation focus on sustainable investing.
