All permanent employees at SFU earn at least the local living wage of $20.91 when looking at the total compensation. SFU's lowest paid employee's full compensation package includes: Medical Services Plan of British Columbia (75% covered by SFU), extended health care plan (100% by SFU), dental care plan (70% covered by SFU). The following benefits are also covered 100% by SFU: basic life insurance, sick leave, long term disciplinary, pension plan, tuition waiver, WorkSafeBC, annual paid vacation, maternity/paternity leave (salary top-up), accident coverage business travel, library and gym membership, employee and family assistance program.
