Employee educators self select as volunteers for the program.

All Ambassadors receive an orientation session and the equivalent of a full day of training in university sustainability initiatives and resources, behaviour change theory, organizational change theory, sustainability communication and basic sustainability theory.


A brief description of the staff and/or other financial support the institution provides to the program (1st program):

The Sustainability Coordinator (a full time continuing position) manages the program. Staff from Facilities Services and the President's office support the program with their time and expertise during program development, support and training.

The institution provides funding for the program through the sustainability budget which comes out of the VP Finance and Administration portfolio.
