The last comprehensive travel study performed by SFU occurred in September 2007. The modal split of all commuters was reviewed, and SFU was unable to distinguish between faculty/staff/student commuters. For the purposes of this Credit, SFU is assuming that the total modal split numbers can be applied to the faculty/staff group.

As at February 2011, FTE numbers were:
Students: 18,400
Faculty/Staff: 2,147
