A list or brief description of the course level sustainability learning outcomes and the programs for which the courses are required:
This list is based on unique graduates during the 2016/2017 FY (Spring/Summer 2016, Fall 2016, and Winter 2017 academic terms) that took at least one of the sustainability courses identified in AC1 during their program study. Although the students may have taken the course in a different semester or academic year than the reporting time period, they are counted in the year that they graduated. The total number of graduates includes all Sheridan program graduates in 2016/2017 FY.
The list of programs includes all Sheridan programs that have at least one sustainability course, and excludes courses that contains sustainability. These are required courses in order to graduate from the program, not including any elective courses.
It excludes the York University/Sheridan College Program in Design, which is a joint program with York University and the graduate data resides with the University, as well as continuing education programs, which are captured in EN12.
The list is conservative because Sheridan also offers degree breadth and general education elective courses that include sustainability. However, students have an option in terms of which course to take, they may not necessarily choose one of the degree breadth or general education courses that contain sustainability. Also, these courses cannot be directly attributed to a specific program because they are offered across the College.
