Karl Henrik Robèrt Keynote Address: Leading Change: The Role of Applied Colleges in Sustainable Development
Monday, October 18th, 2010. 2-3 pm. Macdonald Heaslip Hall (also known as Sheridan Theatre) Trafalgar Road Campus, Oakville, ON
A 60-minute presentation to Sheridan faculty, staff, students and interested community members:
• Describe: the role of applied colleges in sustainable development and the need to establish common ground as a basis for collective action
• Demonstrate how sustainability can be a driver of collaboration, innovation and value creation for society through business, communities and academic institutions
• Highlight successful examples in the academic field
This presentation was augmented by case studies, specifically work done at BTH (Blekinge Institute of Technology).

Peter Busby, Principal of Busby Perkins+Will will be speaking at Sheridan's Trafalgar Campus in Room J102 on Wednesday, March 31 from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. The public is welcome to attend. Mr. Busby heads up one of North America's leading green design firms, and is Chair of the Canada Green Building Council. He is also a member of the Order of Canada.
Mr. Busby will be speaking about his experiences with sustainable design at both the building and community levels, and will be accepting questions towards the end of the session.
