A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:
The Sewanee Community Council passed an ordinance on February 23, 2009 that prohibits idling for all charter buses on campus, most notably outside the Fowler Center. Sewanee Police will actively enforce the policy. The Sustainability Master Plan also highlights a need to continue enforcing an idling policy.
