Sewanee has active participation with the Brown Foundation Tutorial Fellowship. The Brown Foundation Tutorial Fellowship was established in 1971 by a gift from the Brown Foundation of Houston, Texas. An endowed fund enables the University to appoint distinguished scholars to teach for a limited period of time in one of the disciplines represented in the College of Arts and Sciences.
