Does the institution have a postconsumer food waste composting program?:
Yes

A brief description of the postconsumer food waste composting program:

Post-consumer food waste is collected by the dining hall and then taken to the compositing site by Team Compost. In fall 2010, Team Compost was formed with the guidance of Sewanee staff and faculty. During the school year, student volunteers collect food waste from McClurg and spent horse bedding from the Equestrian Center to create a functional compost system that serves the University by both lessening its landfill contributions and providing a valuable resource for our burgeoning farming operation. They hold themselves to USDA Organic compost regulations in order to produce a high-quality product.
