Please note that assured reports are still subject to review by AASHE staff prior to publication, which may require additional revisions. AASHE reserves the right to withhold points for this credit if it is determined that the assurance process was clearly unsuccessful in identifying and resolving inconsistencies or errors (e.g., when AASHE staff identify a significant number of issues that were either not mentioned in the completed review template or not resolved successfully).

A brief description of the institution’s assurance process:
The Sustainability Specialists at Seneca were responsible for each of their respective STARS categories. Once they finished a credit, they would mark it as complete in a shared team spreadsheet. The team also hosted bi-weekly STARS meetings where progress would be shared, any questions would be addressed and a review of the STARS review template would be done.

Emily completed reviews of each credit on a rolling basis and would use the meetings to update team members on any inconsistencies or edits needed before approval and submission was completed. Closer to submission, summary emails were sent to inform team members of credits that were finalized or required edits and/or changes.
