Employee Satisfaction Survey
In 2015, Seneca conducted a full employee survey.
Starting in 2018, Seneca moved to a Pulse Survey format (up to 10 questions on a current topic + 1 engagement question which the College can benchmark annually). A Pulse Survey allows Seneca to survey employees more frequently (annually) and is quicker to respond to. The pulse survey in 2018 focused on the topic of communication and for 2019, it was innovation.
A brief description of the mechanism(s) by which the institution addresses issues raised by the evaluation (including examples from the previous three years):
The response occurs in two levels, dept. and college wide
Department level - individual reports are produced for each group and Human Resources partners with appropriate managers to map out a departmental communication and response plan.
Organizationally, the survey methodology produces a limited number of key measures that act as employee engagement drivers and strategies are formulated in response to those. The engagement drivers act as KPIs.
