Selkirk promotes Kootenay Carshare Cooperative, a regional car-sharing program, that now offers full and casual memberships. Several carshare vehicles are parked within walking distance to Selkirk's Nelson campuses.

Tenth St, Silver King and Castlegar campuses each have two Level 2 electric vehicle chargers.

Selkirk hosts a Bike to College week bi-annually on both Castlegar and Nelson campuses. Commuters are encouraged to ride a bike to college each day during that week. Participants have opportunities to win prizes and learn about bicycle maintenance from local cycling shops.
The college also provides preferred parking spots for those who carpool to campus.
