A variety of bursaries are available for eligible students enrolled in a minimum 60% course load who have demonstrated financial need and who have a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
When adjudicating bursaries, questions are asked related to a students previous year's income tax and the current year's financial resources. In this way, lower-income students are targeted.

The Castlegar campus has a Childcare Centre that is open to all staff and students. Its operating hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:30pm. Childcare Centre staff work hard to accommodate Selkirk College students in order to facilitate their studies.
