A brief description of the institution’s main campus and other aspects of the institutional boundary used to complete this report:
Selkirk College consists of 8 total facilities: 1 campus in Castlegar, 1 in Trail, and 3 in Nelson. There are also 3 Learning Centres: 1 in Kaslo, 1 in Nakusp, and 1 in Grand Forks. For the purpose of the STARS report, the institutional boundary will include the main campus of Selkirk College, located in Castlegar, and the Silverking and 10th St. Campuses, located in Nelson.
Which of the following features are present on campus and which are included within the institutional boundary?:
Present? | Included? | |
Agricultural school | No | No |
Medical school | No | No |
Other professional school with labs and clinics (e.g. dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, veterinary) | No | No |
Satellite campus | Yes | No |
Farm larger than 5 acres or 2 hectares | No | No |
Agricultural experiment station larger than 5 acres or 2 hectares | No | No |
Hospital | No | No |
The rationale for excluding any features that are present from the institutional boundary:
The reason for excluding The Kootenay School of the Arts and Trail Campuses, and the 3 Learning Centres is that they are much smaller institutions than the others, and it is not within the scope of the project to report on all 8 facilities.
