A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation (including how multiple dimensions of sustainability are addressed):
The annual New Employee Orientation includes a "trade-show" where different departments and committees set up booths to provide information and education to new employees. Sustainable Selkirk participates in this event by providing information about the sustainability initiatives, goals and policies that Selkirk has adopted, highlighting the sustainability-related achievements of the college, and engaging in conversation with new employees to promote and receive feedback about Selkirk's sustainability initiatives. Employees are also given a campus tour by their supervisors, which includes showing them the communal staff kitchen areas, where staff share appliances such as fridges and kettles, the recycling stations, and provides information on our carpooling program.
