A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
Every year, non-faculty staff are offered the opportunity to attend some form of sustainability related training. Both Exempt and Support Staff have a Pro-D fund that they can draw upon to attend training, and free courses are offered at the College as well. The courses generally focus on Social Sustainability; for example, a course for employees in Hostile Interactions was hosted at the College, addressing Earth Charter Principle IV: Democracy, Non-Violence and Peace.

Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
All staff are invited to an annual "Discovery Day", which is an all-day, themed event for College employees to partake in a variety of workshops and have discussions; "Legacy" was the theme of the 2016 event. Sometimes the workshops include sustainability topics, and it is possible that Sustainability may be a Discovery Day theme in the future.
