Yes

A brief description of other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting:
1. The university offers a few incentives to students and employees who bike to work. These benefits include: a secure commuter bike storage; there are two secured bike storage areas for student residents; there are showers and lockers in the Student Center and Fitness Center.

2. Employees and students who enroll in carpool establish a carpool leader for the group who is the primary driver for the carpool and pay a reduced rate for their carpool parking permit. If a member of the carpool group needs to drive to campus they may do so approximately 1 day per week and have a limited number of $1 per day permits they may purchase to park their car.

3. The university offers subsidized transit passes. Benefits eligible employees pay $12.54 a month for a university subsidized Transit Pass that includes: bus and train travel across multiple counties, and an emergency taxi ride home if needed. Employee walk-on passenger ferry passes are an additional monthly cost. Included in the monthly cost of the employee Transit Pass are 12 complimentary virtual parking permits per quarter.

4. Students have subsidized Transit Pass options available through the university. It is on a quarterly basis; the university subsidizes 50% of the cost of the transit pass. Seattle University also partners with King County Metro's ORCA LIFT program, which reduces the bus fare up to 50% off the regular adult fare (https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/fares-and-payment/discounted-fares/orca-lift)

5. The university offers a guaranteed ride home program intended primarily to regular users of alternative modes of transportation. The university pays for a taxi ride or Lyft ride home in case of an emergency for employees who do not take their car to work - these employees are typically Orca Transit pass users, or are of part of a carpool, vanshare, or vanpool.
