--WEEKLY NEWSLETTER for students: The Center for Environmental Justice (CEJS) publishes a weekly “SUstainability update” for students using ConnectSU as the platform. The newsletter reaches all students who signed up as a member with CEJS on ConnectSU. The weekly newsletter includes updates related to sustainability events, internships, fellowships, scholarships, and other opportunities (both on and off-campus).

--WASTE: SU offers waste collection stations at over 200 locations on campus. Each station includes single stream recycling, compost, and trash with signage explaining what items should go where.

• Sustainability tours are offered by CEJS and Facilities staff:
(a) A tour of Seattle University's 4 LEED Gold buildings to learn more about sustainability in the built environment. The tour features a raingarden, a chilled beam that cools the computer lab, a raised floor supplying warm air near occupants’ feet, sustainable materials and water efficient fixtures.
(b) A tour of SU's gardens highlighting SU's sustainable Grounds practices, edible gardens, compost tea operation and garden history.
(c) A tour of the onsite Composting facility where employees learn how SU annually turns our pre-consumer food waste into compost to use in our campus landscaping.
(d) A campus tour offered by CEJS to highlight and discuss SU’s sustainability practices and performance
