A brief description of the energy management or benchmarking program:
Seattle University has a Resource Conservation Manager that collects all monthly utility data from utilities and enters them into a database to analyze trends and identify and implement projects that will reduce water and energy consumption. Buildings are benchmarked versus similar building types and versus past historical data, including accounting for weather patterns. We also collect interval data for our largest sites to analyze building load profiles to reduce energy consumption during off hours and implement demand response programs. Seattle University uploads all energy data to Portfolio Manager and reports to the City of Seattle. Lastly, SU benchmarks energy and water consumption versus other universities.
