A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
Student Leadership requires cultural competency trainings as part of the student leadership retreat, but these are only offered and required for student in student leadership.
Student Leadership and affinity group clubs host a multicultural fair that highlights services and cultural offerings on campus to all students.
The Multicultural Office helps students attend the Student of Color Conference in Washington State each year.
Seattle Central offers workshops and full-day trainings on issues of sexual minorities, undocumented student populations, white privilege, and many other topics, through the Multicultural Office.
The school's library offers a series called Conversations on Social issues that allows students and employees to highlight current social justice and cultural competency issues.
The Women's Programs has a lecture every Wednesday, open to all faculty and students, to discuss specific women's issues.
