Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to volunteer for leadership positions with sustainability initiatives on campus, working together with the President's Advisory Council on Sustainability


A brief description of the formal training that the employee educators receive (1st program):

To date, members of the President's Advisory Council on Sustainability have attended the AASHE conference and the California Higher Education Sustainability Conference. We have participated in webinars, and hosted guest lectures by faculty working on sustainability initiatives on the Claremont Colleges campuses. An emphasis for the council has been the support of student-led projects, and internships.

The President's Advisory Council on Sustainability is supported by a gift to the College from the Sarah Stewart Foundation.
