A brief description of the institution’s programs that help increase the diversity of higher education faculty :
Our institution offers teaching fellowships or other programs to support terminal degree students from underrepresented groups in gaining teaching experience. We also provide mentoring, financial, and/or other support programs to prepare and encourage undergraduate or other non-terminal degree students to pursue further education and careers as faculty members. We participate in the Consortium for Faculty Diversity where we hire PhDs for one year to come and teach and do scholarship with us. In addition, Scripps also participate in Teach for America.
