The Diversity Coordinating Committee is an advisory group of committed faculty, students, staff, and alumnae who are appointed to the Committee by the President of Scripps College to advise the President on issues of diversity. The mission of DCC is to promote a diverse, supportive, and understanding community by:
Representing diverse constituencies on campus
Gathering information from the entire Scripps community
Generating issues of importance to the community
Deliberating on issues brought to and generated by DCC
Making policy recommendations to the President of Scripps College
Collaborating with relevant constituencies on campus.
The Principles of Diversity and the Principles of Community will guide the DCC in all of its deliberations, actions, and statements.
