Scripps College is committed to conducting its activities in a manner that is sensitive to the environment. As an educational institution, we support efforts to review our day-to-day operations in order to introduce "best practices" in this field. For new construction and renovations, we will use the best designs available that meet building code approved energy efficiency standards. These standards, together with water conservation, recycling, and the use of renewable resources, are embraced by the term "sustainability."
