Does the institution have a student-run enterprise, such as a cafe, through which students gain sustainable business skills?:
A brief description of the enterprise:
The Motley Coffeehouse. Support Students & Local Businesses. Many of their fresh food and drinks come from the Claremont community. They buy from businesses in the village, around town and we also employ students from the Claremont Colleges to sell their own homemade baked goods.
The Motley’s Mission is:
To be a socially responsible business that explores diverse feminist critiques
To connect the Claremont Colleges with local and global communities by perpetuating sustainable supply chains
To foster independent thinking and purposeful change.
