A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting, including the timeframe for when the analysis was conducted and how a representative sample was reached, if applicable:
A transportation survey was sent out to all students, faculty, and staff in Fall 2017.
This survey asked for the respondent's primary campus, how many campus commute days per week, primary travel mode to campus, one-way commute distance, as well as hypothetical use of subsidized train fare and more secure bike storage.
