A brief description of the methodology used to track and calculate the number of recordable incidents of work-related injury or ill health :
SCU has an incident reporting system for near misses, injuries, illnesses, exposures, fatalities and environmental releases. The Environment, Health, and Safety Department in conjunction with Human Resources and our third-party loss control provider reviews incident reports, conducts incident investigations, and makes the determination per OSHA guidelines on recordability status and subsequent case management. This process involves the affected employee and supervisor initiating the process. Employees and supervisors are trained on this process.
