The City of Santa Clara requires applicants seeking building or demolition permits for projects greater than 5,000 square to recycle at least 50 percent of discards.
The Center for Sustainability has worked with the City of Santa Clara to track our construction and demolition waste. Calendar year 2016 was a pilot year for data sharing, and this system has been refined to capture all of our construction and demolition waste diversion data.
