A brief description of the method(s) used to gather data about student commuting:
A survey was emailed to graduate and undergraduate students on their respective Student-Events Listservs by the Transportation Services Office in February 2019. The Center for Sustainability sent several follow-up emails (with different subject lines) to encourage participation. The survey was open for the entire month, and we had a 24.23% student response rate.

A survey was emailed to employees on their respective non-essential Listserv by the Transportation Services Office in February 2019. The Center for Sustainability sent several follow-up emails (with different subject lines) to encourage participation. The survey was open for the entire month. Our response rate was 33.88% of employees.
