State of California and the CSU requires agencies/campuses to give preference to businesses that are certified as small business or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE). This policy and further explanation can be found in SJSU's Contracting & Procurement Guidelines in the section titled "Contracting with DVBE, Small Businesses, Target Areas, and Enterprise Zones." The General Provisions that are included with all contracts outline the Chancellor's Office reporting requirements for DVBE and small business participation.
