The university convened all campus technology staff at a Campus Tech Summit and explained the steps on purchase of workstations. These policies are also posted online. There are guidelines for purchase of workstations hardware posted online.
All workstation purchases go through the University's Central IT and the department follows strict guidelines as to the brands and models that are purchased. The university IT department specified certain brands and models that can be purchased.
