A brief description of the policies and/or guidelines to improve outdoor air quality and minimize air pollutant emissions from mobile sources:

Only electric fleet carts are purchased and permitted on campus.
Hybrid or EV buses will be acquired to replace the existing shuttle buses.

FD&O has 108 Electric Maintenance Carts
Eight E-85 fleet vehicles are capable of using 85% ethanol fuel
FD&O has retrofitted the exhaust systems of a riding mower, shuttle bus and 3 forklifts with particulate filters

A brief description of the methodology(ies) the institution used to complete its air emissions inventory:

Gasoline usage from all stationary sources on campus is tracked through the auto shop and tracked through the use of the Voyager purchasing card.

California's Air Resources Board requires us to submit our air emissions from all stationary sources on campus, which includes our cogen plant and all natural gas accounts on campus.

A brief description of the institution’s initiatives to minimize air pollutant emissions from stationary sources, including efforts made during the previous three years:

Monthly generator run times in the past 2 years have been greatly reduced from 2 hours a month, to 5 minutes.

Our cogeneration plant greatly reduces it NOx, SOx and other particulates emissions by injecting steam into the combustion process.
