A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
Newly hired staff and managers go through New Employee Orientation (NEO) with Human Resources on their first day. In NEO we talk about the sustainability efforts on campus such as the waste, reduction and recycling program and our cogeneration facility. We also provide information about the Transportation Solutions office and the services they provide to assist our students, faculty and staff with alternative transportation options. The new employees are offered a free Eco Pass Clipper Card which gives them access to unlimited rides on all VTA buses and Light Rail.
