A brief description of the source of non-potable water and how it is used:
SJSU is a customer of South Bay Water Recycling (SBWR), a City of San Jose program. The University currently has 3 recycled water accounts with SBWR and uses the recycled water for Irrigation of South Campus Athletic field, Main Campus cooling towers, and uses for industrial applications. All toilet flushing in King Library uses non-potable water via dual plumbing.
