A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
SF State is a participant and collaborator in the local City of San Francisco's Bike Share program: Bay Wheels. We worked with the City of San Francisco to install 52 bike share docking locations around the campus to encourage biking to and from campus. All students receive a discounted rate. E bikes are available around the campus at dockless locations.

38 Electric vehicles stations were installed in 2022 and were placed in preferred parking areas of the main parking structure. Hybrid cars can use these stations.

A brief description of the electric vehicle recharging stations:
38 charging stations are available for public use in the University parking garage, Lot 20, on the street level accessed by State Drive. 3 of the 38 stations are accessible to individuals with disabilities. All stations are level 2 and will fully charge most electric car models in about four hours.

The campus offers housing options for some employees. Employee housing costs are priced at about 10-20% below market rate for the surrounding neighborhood.

All SFSU students receive a gator pass as part of their student fee package. The gator pass has many incentives that reduce the price for students on the many public transit agencies that are near our campus. Students receive a 50% reduction on BART. They have an unlimited MUNI monthly pass. and receive discounts on other transit agencies.
SFSU offers a free shuttle to and from the BART station on average for 12 hours of the day during the Fall and Spring semester. This connects our community to the BART transit system that goes through downtown SF and through most of the East Bay.
