Food+Shelter+Success

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
Food+Shelter+Success, SF State's Basic Needs Initiative, supports students’ ability to reach their full potential at SF State by providing food, housing, and financial crisis support programs, services, and referrals. Food+Shelter+Success is committed to the development of student-informed, data driven basic needs programs and resources that promote health equity, student leadership and a community of care.

On the Food+Shelter+Success website, students may submit a request for a Basic Needs Support Form which details how they can access Personal Care Kits and Emergency Meal Cards. The website also houses informational resources on Food Security, Housing Stability, and Economic Support along with a blog on health, lifestyle, and school tips. Events and workshops are sponsored in partnership with other Health Promotion & Wellness programs through Student Affairs & Enrollment Management.
