A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation :
SF State's orientation booklet contains an introduction to campus sustainability. Orientation tour guides show off various sustainable features of the campus during orientation. The Office of Sustainability and Residential Life sponsor a reusable water bottle giveaway to all incoming students to educate them about preventing waste from single-use containers. The Office of Sustainability and Alumni Relations host beach clean up events.
