SF State uses an Ecovox energy management system that tracks energy use for each building on campus. All buildings have at least one meter for electricity and gas consumption. SF State uses an Ecovox energy management system that tracks water use for each building on campus. Staff from facilities and sustainability monitor the dashboard to identify waste or leaks. The campus uses a CalSense automated irrigation system for grounds. The system tracks water usage and has automatic weather sensors to avoid watering when unnecessary.
